Alright, so I am going to begin the building of my first diorama. Been planning this for a while.

I've got everything figured out except Ruclusiarch Grimaldus. The pose I have in mind for him is to have him standing on top of a podium, strangling an ork with the chain linked to his wrist that used to hold his plasma pistol.

The metal model that is out for him certainly will not due. He has a very unique crozius. It's not shaped like any other that is available. Maybe I could make it out of plasticard? And I'm sure I will need to do some green stuffing.

Make a plastic marine and cut the crozius off the metal model to use?

I have to agree. With all the great plastic bitz about these days I think you will find it much easier to come up with something close and base it off of a plastic model.

Yeah I know I will need to do this. I just need to find the right plastic model. One that is interesting though.
I just wanted to poke around and see if you guys had a specific one in mind.

It may sound heretical but take a look at some chaos torsos and Azrael's back pack. Also, the LoTD sargent is a great body to start with, although you are back into metal there. Hope this helps!!!

Well the torso doesn't matter considering I'm green stuffing over it to make his robes. But I actually found the model I need to make him.

I remembered that his armor dates back to the days of the Horus Heresy (source: Helsreach), so I took a look at the models I listed above. The heads not so much. I can get by with some of the most basic SM helmets.
